Hi, my name is Elanne and I am a reflexologist! I was drawn to learn reflexology for three reasons. The first reason was because of my daughter. The second reason was because of my mother. The third reason was my introduction to an 89 year old woman who had had crippled, swollen arthritic hands. My daughter had fallen off a four storey building breaking her back in four places, her sternum, ribs & foot. Sarah's spine needs alignment from time to time when she sleeps wrong on her neck or sometimes her back just "goes out". Within the hour's session; daughter feels tall, straight and comfortable to be within her body.
My mother was prescribed pharmaceuticals for blood pressure despite that her blood pressure was not taken until her fourth visit and that the medications caused extreme leg discomfort. From walking 8 miles a day over a 3 year span: her leg was amputated. Other people on the same medication had amputations or died. Working on the one foot; allows me to facilitate blood circulation, massage organs & glands represented on the foot, and generally assist general well-being and health.
The 89 year old woman who had had crippled, swollen arthritic hands introduced me to the concept of reflexology; claiming that no condition of the body need be permanent. Today her hands are smooth and supple enough to thread a needle.
